Daily Requirements

We provide all of the children’s linen for our stretcher beds and cots for rest times. We also provide disposable nappies for nappy changes throughout your child’s day. You should make sure that your child brings at least two change of clothes and a jumper all clearly labelled.

We maintain details of emergency contact information and any special medical or dietary requirements.

If your child is unwell, particularly with any sort of infectious illness, its in the best interests of your child, our staff and other children that you do not bring them to the centre.

Our Curriculum

Kids Inc. Early Childhood educators implement a responsive, emergent and negotiated curriculum that focuses on the development of the whole child.

Kids Inc. draws on a number of theories and approaches in our programming for children’s development.  These include the NSW Curriculum Framework and  The Australian Government - Early Years Curriculum

We believe children learn best through play! Our curriculum is based on each child's observed interests and perceived individual needs. Our curriculum and daily programed experiences are "hands on" and "play based" and will engage children in individual, small group and larger group experiences.

Play is intrinsically motivating, guided by children, engaging and meaningful to children. It is also a great tool for learning! The skills they are practising and learning are essential in developing the necessary social skills for school readiness, and designed in context to foster all areas of their development.

Fees

Many of our parents, through their employer’s involvement, participate in salary sacrificed payment arrangements which are structured to provide tax advantages.  In those cases, payment of fees is typically managed by their employers’ payroll office.

For others, fees are payable fortnightly in advance using a direct debit payment system. We maintain a waitlist system to best manage requests for additional days. Deposit arrangements are put in place to secure places in advance and your centre staff will be able to explain these to you. The ability to change or swap days will depend on the level of demand at your centre - we will make every effort to accommodate your needs.

    • We have a No Fee policy for Public Holiday Mondays however there is no reduction in fees for absence due to sickness.

Government Funding

Government Programs

Our centres qualify for the Government’s Child Care Benefit (CCB) and Child Care Tax Rebate (CCR) fee subsidies – we suggest you seek advice from your accountant.

Child Care Benefit (CCB)

The Child Care Benefit is a Federal Government childcare fee discount system. It is means tested and therefore not every family will qualify, but for those who do the discount can be as high as approximately $36 per day.

There are two ways to receive the CCB fee subsidy, which are:

  • Reduced Fee: the amount of your fee subsidy is deducted from the daily fee you pay to us, and we collect the CCB subsidy on your behalf from the Government; or
  • Full Fee: you may elect to pay the full daily fee to us, and then you claim a lump sum refund via the Family Assistance Office at the end of the financial year

Child Care Rebate

The Child Care Rebate (CCR) provides eligible families with a 50% rebate of their out-of-pocket child care fees, to a maximum of $7,778 per annum per child (indexed from 2009).

This equates to 50% of the fee paid after deducting the CCB subsidy referred to above, and the CCR is now payable to qualifying families at the end of each quarter.

As it is NOT means tested which means that most families will qualify to receive this, even if their CCB % rate is zero. Further information and the eligibility details can be found on the My Child website.

Centre Link has created a new eligibility calculator which can be found here.
