Partnership

We approach childcare as a partnership between families and our team of dedicated staff. We take the time to understand your aspirations and your child’s needs. We encourage parent involvement and have an open door policy which many parents take advantage of, particularly if they work close by to the centre.

A comprehensive record of your child’s progress is maintained by way of a progressive portfolio which is a collaboration of developmental observations, photographs and early learning reports which are readily available to you.

Programs

Our centres are well resourced and our professional team of staff dedicate time to planning appropriate routines and strategies for short term and medium term ongoing development for children.

We take a play - based approach curriculum and provide age appropriate creative learning experiences for children that are fun, exciting and valuable experiences for all our children

Environment

Kids Inc centres are stunning and incorporate new state-of-the-art designs. Our expertise is founded on many years of specialist experience in both the childcare industry and the corporate real estate development sector.

Through extensive research we have identified design features, use of colours, finishes, materials and specifications which enhance the attractiveness, functionality and safety of our childcare centres. We’re proud of the standard of the centres that we have developed and are confident that the children using our centres will benefit from the standards which we have adopted.

Security is a fundamental concern and access to our centres is controlled by fob swipe technology.

Our outdoor areas are safe and encourage participation. Use of impact absorbing softfall surfaces, extensive shading and the most current play equipment typify our outdoor play areas. Our indoor spaces are bright and interesting making the environment a balance of practical spaces and beautiful aesthetics.

Nutrition

Meals and snack times play an important part in the social life of children and constantly create learning opportunities. One of the pillars of the Kids Inc culture is health and nutrition.

All meals and menus that we provide are planned and prepared by nutritionally qualified personnel in environments where quality control is carefully monitored. Variety in our menus is important and we typically operate menus that run for several weeks with minimal repeat meals. We provide breakfast, lunch and dinner along with morning and afternoon snacks, all in generous proportions.

We cater to meet cultural and religious requirements. We do not provide babies’ formula, simply because of the diverse range of different products in the market and specific needs of individual infants. Our children eat together in small groups at tables with a member of staff - parents are always welcome to attend.

The whole eating process is set up as an interactive experience with the older children actively involved in setting tables and clearing up afterwards. All of our centres provide quiet and private spaces for mothers to maintain their breast-feeding program.

Staff

One of the most important factors in a successful childcare centre is its staff.  At Kids Inc, we are committed to employing high quality staff who are happy, work together in a supportive team and want to make a difference to the children in our care.

A typical Kids Inc staff member is:

  • outstanding in their field, well-trained, enthusiastic, and motivated;
  • warm, caring, and genuinely interested in serving the best interests of each child;
  • approachable and happy to discuss each child's development with parents; and
  • dedicated to continual self-improvement

As an organisation, one of our goals is to be recognised as an employer of choice in the sector and in pursuit of this we:

  • acknowledge our staff for excellence, effort and commitment to their work;
  • provide ongoing training and development opportunities both within our group and within the industry;
  • listen to our staff and constantly work with them in all aspects of their roles; and
  • raise the standards of design and finishes so that we create work environments which minimise stress and demands on our staff.
